HOME owners hoping to sell in the booming market will need to soften their expectations after record low clearances pointed to an easing of the value of many Melbourne houses. Sellers were sent a clear message at the weekend of the rocky state of the market as a third of properties put up failed to attract a buyer. At many auctions, no bids were made as spectators easily outnumbered bidders.
